By revisiting key elements of Naikee’s journey in her quest for identity and freedom, the film seeks to challenge the pervasive heteronormative standards of a society that is often overly binary, aiming to create an ode to diversity. Through a reinterpretation of Botticelli’s painting “The Birth of Venus,” Naikee asserts her right to become an image-maker, shaping the narrative of society and advocating for a broader spectrum of identities.
